Helping Hands Center for Special Needs is a non-profit organization located in Columbus, OH with a mission to meet the educational and therapeutic needs of children with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Helping Hands Center approaches education from a holistic perspective and utilizes the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) which have been found to be one of the most effective treatments for autism. Teacher-to-student ratios throughout the center range from 1:1 to 1:3 and provide an unprecedented opportunity for learning. All students benefit from a range of therapy services in the center. More than twenty highly-qualified and certified therapists provide services to both the students enrolled in the Education Center as well as those who come to the Therapy Center strictly for therapeutic services. No other organization in central Ohio offers this number of therapies under one roof.

On Friday, April 24, 2015 at Raise Your Glass to Raise Awareness, Erin Nealy and Abby David shared the following: “Because of the exponential growth of Helping Hands Center over the past ten years; and, as we build a bridge to pave the way for a successful future for our students and clients as they transform into adults, we’ve been challenged to create a center that will support students of all ages, from toddlers to middle school and into young adulthood … and that looks a little bit differently than the Helping Hands Center of the past. Coming in 2016, the Helping Hands Center of the future.

The parents of Helping Hands Center for Special Needs share their experiences in this touching video conceived by the center’s PTO and produced by Brainstorm Media.
